For Japanese Embassy in Indonesia

First of all I would like to express my sincere gratitude for Japan Embassy in Indonesia, especially for Mr. Kemas, Mr. Takeyama, and Mr. Kawai who’d gave me an opportunity to visit Japan. I’m proud to be Indonesia Delegates for JENESYS 2.0 which held in Japan, March 31st until April 7th 2013. I decided to join this program because I want to learn more from Japan to prepare myself and then contribute to my community, my university, and my beloved country, Indonesia.
If we look back at our past and present bilateral relations, we can notice continuous progress from early stages until today. We know that Indonesia is a large country with its populations is the biggest one in ASEAN. It’s culturally and geographically very divers and has a lot of natural beauty, and Indonesia also has a series of positive economic characteristics. And we know that Japan is a country with high technology, a lot of cultural assets, natural beauty too, and solid work ethic. The cooperation between Indonesia and Japan continue to be vital for both of our countries. I have also found out that Indonesia will face AEC 2015 and as a youth from Indonesia, I think that it’s a great chance to learn from development of technology in Japan so Indonesia can improve its trading.

PRE-DEPARTURE PREPARATION
As a Participant in JENESYS 2.0, I received an email contain Participants’ Handbook for AEC Youth Network. That book helped me so much to prepare all things that I was needed during that program. On March 30th 2013, I and other delegates from Indonesia came to the Japanese Embassy’s Office to have an orientation of JENESYS Program. After that, we had our lunch and took picture together.

Having orientation of JENESYS 2.0, we went to look around some tourism places in Jakarta. We go through Sunda Kelapa area and then moved to airport to have dinner. In the Soekarno-Hatta airport, I took pictures with other delegates from Indonesia.

March 31st, 2013 (First Day in Japan)

Having arrived at Narita International Airport, we picked up by travel agency and some people whose came from JICE. We walked together to put our luggage in baggage car. After that, we went to the bus together with delegates came from Cambodia, Thailand, and Malaysia. On the way we moved to Tokyo International Center, we really enjoyed the cherry blossom. That was my first time to see Sakura. It was so beautiful. I took many pictures in front of TIC. After that, we went for sightseeing. When I and Andam wanted to take some picture together, Japanese came closer to us and offered some help. That was my first daily finding about Japanese culture. They’re very kind to help others. On my first day in Japan, I didn't found traffic jam. It seemed "a little bit" different than in Jakarta

Around 7 o’clock, Ken (Elok’s friend who came from Kyoto), accompanied us to go to Tokyo Tower. He showed us the station near our hotel. On that time, we were left behind Ken, because he was busy chit chat with Elok. Actually it’s not their fault, because I and my friends walked very slowly. Look at this picture. Malinda took this picture when we were counting money to buy subway ticket.

Because we must wait for the next subway, we took a photo first.
